The two Balkan Atheltics Interim co-Presidents Fatih Chintimar and Slobodan Brankovic greeted all participants in the Opening ceremony. Everyone shared a minute of silence in respect and memory of innocent victims that have fallen because of wars around the world, with a STOP WAR sign on the screens. We all hope this nightmare will end soon and will be avoided in the future.

Turkey won the greatest number of medals - a total of 18; 7 of them gold, 5 silver, and 6 bronze. Romania follows with 3 gold, 2 silver and 8 bronze medals, which makes 13 in total. Slovenia comes next with 6 medals: 3 gold, 2 silver, and one bronze.

We are very thankful for the great atmosphere and excellent organisation of our host - Turkish Atletics Federation.
